THE WOUNDED HAND...

THE WOUNDED HAND...
“But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities, the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him, we are healed and made whole” Isaiah 53: 5.
He was a man accustomed to discomfort. He took our pains upon Himself – He knows no sin but He came into the world to cleanse our faults and to rid us of all ailments. He identified with us in our pains, taking them upon Himself, He bore them unto death, so that by this, the agreement we had with the consequences resulting to death, might be annulled. No doubt, He had sorrows from the time His sensitive and untainted life began to contact the sins, corruptions, sicknesses and pains of others!
Jesus Christ, not only acquainted with diseases in the sense of His ability to diagnose and heal them, He actually bore them in His faultless body while hanging on the cross and being made the substitute for others!
My finite mind cannot comprehend the love of my maker to bear deep pains in my place! He left His everlasting throne of glory and came down in a physical body, for an agenda of grief for my sake! “Now my soul is troubled and distressed and what shall I say? Should I say ‘Father, save me from this time [of trial and agony]?’ But it was for this very purpose that I have come to this hour [that I might undergo it” John 12: 27.
What an incomparable love! The degradation of being tried by mere mortals, the rejection by the people He had come to save, the agony of falling under the weight of the cross and yet being scoffed at, the excruciating gore of being nailed to the cross, the torments of hanging on that Calvarian wood of death! More sore, was the feeling of denial by the Father, who would not stand the repulsive stench of the multitude of sins that He carried! He shed every drop of blood in His body as a ransom for our sins. “But God shows and clearly proves His own love for us by the fact that while we were still sinners, Christ [The Messiah, The Anointed One] died for us” Romans 5: 8.
Neither the agony nor the stigma that accompanied His manner of death could deter Him; Anyone who died by crucifixion was labelled accursed ...“becoming a curse for us, for it is written [in the scriptures], cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree [is crucified]” Galatians 3: 13.
He paid a guilt offering paid once and for all ages. Friend, there will never be another! Jesus Christ, The Great High Priest has offered Himself as a permanent sin offering for us – He suffered, bled, cried and died, so that our freedom might be eternal. There is an endless line that is drawn by rejecting this love scripted out by our Lord. Have you counted the cost, should your soul be eternally lost???
Therefore, let us ALL not ignore the most important aspects of ...“right and justice and mercy and fidelity. These you ought [particularly] to have done without neglecting the others” Matthew 23: 23.
After all said, it is that the healing for which Christ had been brutally beaten will remain the children’s bread ...“for it is not right to take the children’s bread and toss it to their dogs” Mark 7: 27.
Beloved, The Wounded Hand of Jesus had written with the permanent ink of His own precious blood, the most beautiful love story!
For NOW, The Wounded Hand of Jesus is stretched out to you. Will you be willing and be made whole? The algebraic law establishes a positive result when two negatives are multiplied; so is The Wounded Hand of Jesus stretched at your wounded life of sin and diseases! “Jesus reached out His (Wounded) hand and touched the man (This Beloved) saying, ‘I am willing’; be cleansed by being cured”... Matthew 8: 3.
The Wounded Hand of Jesus transcends EVERY season, barrier and people!
HAPPY EASTER!
