GATHERING OF EAGLES!

GATHERING OF EAGLES.
Eagles are very remarkable species of bird; research confirms that they differ from many other birds mainly by their larger size, powerfully built, heavier heads and beaks.
It is a common saying- “Birds of the same kind flock together” So it is with eagles, for they delight in moving en-masse. “Not forsaking or neglecting to assemble together as believers, as is the habit of some people, but admonishing (warning, urging and encouraging) one another, and all the more faithfully as you see the day approaching” Hebrews 10: 25 (AMP). As believers, we are to hold fast to our faith and encourage one another’s love for God. Do not get tired of encouraging one another to do good deeds, neither are we to drift apart and cease meeting together, but are to seek to support one another.
This is all the more important as Christ’s second coming approaches. The recent times have been characterized with gross discouragement here and there. News that brings hope to the heart is no longer popular. Our mass media depict more tales of woe and hopelessness. Lately, there is no time our information channels do not remind us of how unpredictable peaceful coexistence have become. Hence, our need to seek solace in one another.
Nothing takes God by surprise. He had already declared that “in the last days will come (set in) perilous times of great stress and trouble (hard to deal with and hard to bear)” 2Timothy 3: 1 (AMP). Therefore, we are safe only in God’s presence. Eagles soar far into the sky to keep away from the commonness and contamination of the earth. They build their nests in tall trees or on high cliffs, though this does not translate the literal for us; there are great lessons for life application that we can pick from lesser creatures. We need to go the extra mile in our quest for God. The Psalmist has it that “In your presence is fullness of joy, at your right hand there are pleasures forevermore” Psalms 16: 11 (AMP). But Friend, ascending higher in pursuit of God requires that our hearts and hands are purified. It implies that the base of our making decisions must be in- alignment with the paths of righteousness that God had routed for our lives, while we must have a firm grasp of His principles that will steer us in that direction.
Eagles also have extremely keen eyesight which enables them to spot potential preys from very long distances; this keen eyesight is primarily contributed by their extremely large pupils which ensure minimal scattering of the incoming light. “By having the eyes of your heart flooded with light, so that you can know and understand the hope which He has called you and how rich is His glorious inheritance in the saints” Ephesians 1: 18 (AMP). In the course of our Christian life, by various means and daily experiences, God had been investing bits and pieces of information for our advancement. A child of God will be enabled by God to ensure the least scattering of this supply of light from the Father. He is magnanimous with His gift of the Bible- countless directives are made available that we cannot excuse confusion if truly we rely wholly on Him. Like the eagle, we are attentive to God’s focus for us only by taking a closer walk with Him. Jesus Christ admonishes us to an intimate observance of Him (Matthew 11: 29). Only He can correctly predict that the end of a matter is better than its beginning- From any range, God will help His own to see the future correctly!
“But those who wait for The Lord (who expect, look for and hope in Him) shall change and renew their strength and power, they shall lift their wings and mount up (close to God) as eagles (mount up to the sun) they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint or become tired” Isaiah 40: 31 (AMP). Beloved, spending time alone with God in prayer, worship or Bible reading, does more to restore our minds than anything else we do. I urge you to insist in daily quiet time with God; do not let anyone take those consecrated moments from you. In those times, God empowers you to face everything you need to do with renewed physical, mental and spiritual strength.
Be careful of where you go- Do you enjoy unwholesome revelries or would rather be in the gathering of fellow eagles? Henceforth, you will not be missing in the gathering of those that soar higher to seek God, for in the gathering of eagles, you will be exposed to the understanding you need and it is very unlikely that you wander off God’s paths! ….“how often have I desired and yearned to gather your children together (around me)”…. Luke 13: 34 (AMP). Even if you can correctly judge that you have wasted a significant portion of your life in doing the biddings of satan, God has promised that His mercy will crown your head and you will have satisfaction to your life. You will be renewed just as the eagle (Psalm 103: 5). You must prefer the company of other true Christians if you must develop evenly broad wings for more direct and express flight.
Like all birds of prey, eagles have very large hooked beaks for tearing flesh from their prey, strong muscular legs, and powerful talons. Get rooted in your knowledge of God and He will …“bear you on eagles’ wings” Exodus 19: 4.He will make you alert to devour your preys like the eagle.
Treasured of God, take flight in the company of eagles; delight in flocking together with overcomers, gathering alongside saints and you will experience God’s prosperity!
